Utilization of Stair Space

In homes, especially these days when land is expensive, we want to make the most out of the available space. There is this so-called tiny home movement wherein homes these days are mostly tiny. With these tiny homes, how can you make the most out of the space that you have? Of course, there are things that might want to put in your home, stuff you can’t give up. You also need closet space and storage space. You need space to sleep. You also need a couch, a kitchen, a bathroom, a dining space, and more. You want your electronics to be where you want them to be. Plus you don’t want your home to be dull. You want to have decorations in your home too.

Or maybe you are just someone who hates it when there are empty spaces in your home, spaces that you can utilize. You want cupboards on your empty kitchen walls. You want extra storage under your bed. You have floor to ceiling cabinets. You have shelves over your windows. What you can also do is the utilization of stair space. This not necessarily mean that you have to make a room under the stairs just like Harry Potter’s bedroom. You may do it your own way. You may turn the space under the stairs into cabinets, or you may make them shelf space. What you can also do is making the stairs themselves drawers or like boxes with lids. This way, you can have more space in the house for storage in a way that is best for you.

What you can also do is place your pet’s bed under the stairs. That way, your pet has a place of its own. Or you can turn the space under the stairs into a reading nook with a couch, or you may even turn it into a small office with a desk and an office chair.
